Job Description
Our client is renowned within the water treatment industry for providing a range of high-quality water services to clients throughout the UK. They are now seeking an experienced, commercially-focused and tenacious Water Treatment Accounts Manager based in the Bristol area. The ideal applicant will come from a strong water treatment background with considerable experience in account management within an established consultancy effectively managing both new and existing accounts. Applications from Bath, Chippenham, Taunton, Swindon, Gloucester and the surrounding areas will be considered.
Qualifications & Essential Experience
Must come from a strong water treatment, technical, chemistry, chemical, accounts, contracts, supervisory, service, management and business development background.
Must have good formal education, ideally degree level.
Must excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must have excellent client-facing, people management, leadership and organizational skills.
Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
Must have hands on conducting chemical analysis on steam boilers, cooling towers, etc.
Must be fully conversant with the water treatment/water hygiene industry.
Must have a proven track record working within this role and within the water treatment industry.
Key duties within the role:
Managing and maintaining the company’s diverse portfolio of existing and new accounts.
Scheduling workloads and inspection and ensuring that water treatment engineers meet the demands of the customers appropriately and at the same time comply with water legislation.
Ensuring that the Water Treatment Engineers carry out the work in a cost effective manner and at the same time comply with the Health & Safety procedures and legislation.
Updating the clients with progress reports.
Using the Database effectively.
Providing technical support to clients/customers.
Attending meetings when required.
Undertaking training and appraisals.
Preparing quotations and tenders.
Getting involved with Key Performance Indicators.
Conducting chemical analysis on steam boilers and cooling towers, interpretation of results, maintenance and installation of chemical dosing systems.
Visiting sites, addressing any issues appropriately and effectively.
Building and maintaining a good working relationship with clients.
Collating and preparing comprehensive reports.
Allocating and scheduling of jobs.
Schematic reports required to carry out the tasks.
Achieving targets and goals.
