Job Description

Our client is a well-established water treatment company with a reputation for delivering professional, quality services to a national client base. They are looking to recruit an experienced and committed Water Treatment Engineer to cover contracts in the Ipswich region. The ideal candidate will come from a strong water treatment and chemical background with experience carrying out tank cleans, disinfections of water systems as well as closed system analysis. Consideration will be given to applications from Colchester, Sudbury, Stowmarket, Braintree and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & experience:

The applicant must come from a strong chemical, technical and water hygiene/water treatment background.
Experience working as a water treatment engineer within the water treatment/water hygiene industry.
Having the City & Guilds or WMS will be beneficial.
Will be well versed with the water treatment industry and legislation.
Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Supervisory experience would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

Tank cleans, disinfection of mains water systems, descales, changing and replacing tanks, remedial work, flushing systems, etc.
Monitor client’s air and water systems to ensure compliance with the current Health and Safety legislation.
Cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems and cooling towers, etc.
Temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analysing water systems.
Install and maintain dosing systems.
Building and maintaining a professional relationship with clients.
Flushing of chilled systems.
Some pre commissioning & heated systems work.
