Job Description

Our client, a reputable water treatment company with a national presence is currently recruiting for an experienced and knowledgeable Water Treatment Operations Manager based in and around the Oxford area. The successful postholder will come from a strong technical water treatment/chemical background and will have considerable experience overseeing site and consultancy staff, ensuring works are carried out effectively and to agreed timescales. Applications from Banbury, Reading, Aylesbury, Swindon and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & experience:

The individual must come from a strong technical, chemical, operational, commercial, management, plumbing, accounts and sales background.
Extensive experience in this or similar role and within the water treatment/water hygiene industry.
Excellent working knowledge of the water treatment industry and legislation.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Duties within the role:

Some technical work and client visits will be required.
Establishing management systems.
Managing staff/team/consultants on site and ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with the Health and Safety procedures
Running contracts and co-ordinating – providing quotations and tenders to the highest level.
Ensuring that targets are achieved – profit and loss.
Building and maintaining good relationships with clients from all levels.
Getting involved with recruitment, training and appraisals of staff.
Consulting on targets and strategies for improving productivity and efficiency.
Involvement with Key Performance Indicators.
Promoting and growing the business rapidly.
Addressing any issues effectively and appropriately.
