Job Title: Water Treatment Service Chemist
Location: Nottingham, East Midlands.
Salary / Benefits £22k – £45k + Training + Benefits

An independent Water Treatment company are now looking to employ a Water Treatment Service Chemist to join their dedicated team of service chemists. You will have a good understanding of industrial water systems and experience carrying out chemical analysis, using onsite test kits, on steam boilers, cooling towers and closed systems. Must have excellent access to M1 / Midlands / Yorkshire and surrounding areas: Beeston, Derby, Matlock, Loughborough, Melton Mowbray, Burton Upon Trent, Chesterfield, Worksop, Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Scunthorpe, Barnsley, Wakefield, Barnsley, Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield.

Experience & Qualifications:
” Experience working as a Water Treatment Service Chemist for an established Water Treatment company.
” Holding a chemistry degree / qualification (beneficial).
” WMSoc Certificate in Steam boiler / Cooling Tower chemistry (Beneficial).
” Strong understanding of Water Treatment systems and relevant HSG / ACoP L8 guidelines.
” Organise workload efficiently and liaise with clients professionally.

The Role:
” Carrying out weekly / monthly sampling and analysis of steam boilers, closed systems and cooling towers across various Heavy Industry and Manufacturing sites.
” Analysing water samples using onsite test kits and ensuring calculations are accurate.
” Carrying out analysis on LTHW / CHW and ensuring to dose with correct chemicals and inhibitors.
” Providing technical advice and reports to client on system productivity.
” Continuously upselling on company services.
” Providing clients with quotations for work to be carried out.
” Undertaking troubleshooting on site.
” Managing own workload efficiently, attending site in line with client requirements.
