Job Title: Water Treatment Service Engineer.
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear.
Salary / Benefits £22k – £40k + Training + Benefits

A privately owned and reputable Water Treatment / Water Hygiene company are now looking to take on a Water Treatment Service Engineer, to work on Hospitality, Leisure, Manufacturing sites across the North of England. You will be confident in carrying out reverse osmosis, water softener installation and servicing, closed system dosing, remediation of water tanks alongside minor plumbing duties. Due to the nature of the contracts, the successful candidate must be happy to travel in line with company / client needs.
Consideration will be given to candidates from: Gateshead, Sunderland, South Shields, Tynemouth, Peterlee, Hartlepool, Redcar, Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Middlesbrough, Darlington, Stockton on Tees, Barnard Castle, Consett, Hexham, Durham, Ashington, Morpeth.

Experience & Qualifications:
” Extensive experience working within the Water Treatment industry, working on a mixed portfolio of sites.
” Experience servicing of softeners, reverse osmosis units.(Beneficial)
” Will hold the City and Guilds / NVQ L2 /L3 in Plumbing.
” Able to work in line with ACoP L8 / Health & Safety guidelines.
” Excellent organisational skills, working in line with client / company needs.
” Excellent chemical and technical experience.
” Will be IT literate.

The Role:
” Carrying out water softener installation and servicing.
” Working on systems softener units.
” Carrying out reverse osmosis, plant servicing and installations.
” Deionisers, UV lamps and polishing vessels.
” Working with ion exchange resins.
” Water sampling and temperature monitoring.
” Carrying out disinfections of buildings.
” Carrying out cleans and chlorination of water storage tanks.
” Closed system dosing.
” Carrying out calorifier pasteurisation.
” Carrying out servicing on of softeners, reverse osmosis units
” RPZ valve maintenance, servicing and replacing.
” Remediation of water tanks.
” Carrying out minor plumbing installations.
” Deadleg removals.
” Installing, removing, and rerouting of pipework (PVC & copper)
” Carrying out tank inspections and closed system analysis.
” Showerhead descales and disinfections.
” Working in accordance with ACoP L8 and Health & Safety legislation.
” Ensuring onsite logbooks are up to date.
