A valuable opportunity has arisen within an established water treatment company known for providing outstanding water treatment/hygiene and legionella services throughout the UK. The company is now seeking to recruit an experienced, knowledgeable and dedicated Water Treatment Technical Manager based in and around the Bath area. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent technical knowledge of the water treatment industry including experience working with steam boilers, cooling towers and closed systems analysis. The ideal candidate will also have significant experience managing both staff and projects within a water treatment consultancy. Applications will be considered from Chippenham, Bristol, Stroud, Weston-super-Mare and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & experience:

Previous technical management experience in a role related to water treatment science/engineering essential.
Extensive experience and understanding of water treatment/water industry.
Good understanding of water treatment technologies and cooling towers.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Project management and personnel management skills.
HND/HNC, Degree or MSc
IOSH / NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety accreditation.
Proficient IT skills including MS Office.

Postholder responsibilities:

Technical management of the Water Treatment Services
Build and maintain a good working relationship with the extensive portfolio of clients.
Ensure internal governance is adhered to regarding management reporting and authorisation processes.
To ensure compliance with all internal procedures and legal requirements.
Undertake a wide range of managerial duties.
Managing quotation process with new and existing clients in relation to all water treatment activities
Management of the water sample process and documentation of this, in line with guidance/legislation.
Provide technical direction on the testing and treatment of cooling tower, steam boiler and closed system water.
Assist in the design and implementation of water treatment programmes for these and other systems.
Assistance with management and calibration of equipment.
Management of the documentation process relating to the work completed.
Produce documentation and track the progress of any paperwork regarding customer queries.
Ensure safe that health and safety policies are implemented regarding all staff activities.
Maintain consistent communication with on-site staff to ensure smooth running of works.
Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with up to date legislation and company practice.
Understanding of specific client requirements/regulations.
