Our client is a fast and leading environmental, Health and Safety and Risk Management Service Company offering various high quality and professional services to high profile clients across the UK.
They are now seeking the services of a self-motivated, enthusiastic and articulate Asbestos Bid Manager based in and around the Oxford area. The successful postholder will come from a strong asbestos background with experience in a similar role managing the asbestos bid process including technical and quality aspects. Consideration will be given to applications from Oxford, Slough, Reading and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

Ideally, the individual will come from a strong educational, sales technical, professional and management background within an asbestos/environmental market.
Must have excellent communication, people management, organisational, presentational and leadership skills.
Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Package.
Must have a proven track record working within this role and within the asbestos and environmental industry.

Key duties of the role:

Ensuring all bids, tenders, PQQs and other corporate documents are collated and submitted for the company within time frame and to a high standard.
Managing multiple projects simultaneously and at the same time ensuring that all information is consistent and up to date.
Identifying asbestos consultancy – looking for opportunities within the commercial, public and private sectors.
Managing the Bid qualification process, etc. and managing the bid inputs.
Preparing and reviewing the technical and quality aspects of the bid.
Ensuring that the client information is maintained.
Ensuring tenders are completed and submitted accurately and within time scale.
Completing the proposals (written) and preparing summary for management.
Understanding and solving various issues – technical, etc.
Arranging reviews and feedback to the company’s portfolio of clients.
Delivering improvement to tender documentation, etc.
Preparing and winning bids and at the same time taking responsibility of the bid process – end to end.
Delivering continual improvement with regards to tender documentation, etc.
Maintaining and building a good rapport and the company’s mixed portfolio of clients.
