Job Title: Asbestos Consultant
Location: Solihull, West Midlands
Salary / Benefits £25k – £36k + Company Vehicle + Benefits

A National Asbestos Outfit, with a reputation of providing professional and reliable services to clients throughout the UK. Currently looking for experienced asbestos site staff to cover contracts across the West Midlands / Staffordshire region. The client is recruiting for both Asbestos Surveyors, as well as dual qualified Surveyor / Analyst. Applicants with be flexible and professional, with a minimum of the P402 and six months site experience. For the right candidate the client can commit to training and support gaining further P certs.

Candidates with good access to the M5 /M6 and the West Midlands / Staffordshire region will be considered. Locations consider include; Birmingham, Solihull, Stourbridge, Kidderminster, Bromsgrove, Redditch, Worcester, Coventry, Royal Leamington Spa, Dudley, Walsall, Tamworth, Halesowen, Wednesbury, Litchfield, Cannock, Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent.

Experience:
– Will hold a combination of the BOHS P402 / P403 / P404 or equivalent RSPH qualification.
– Experience undertaking asbestos surveying and air monitoring duties.
– Good working knowledge of HSG 248 & HSG 264.
– Good client facing skill with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
– Full driving License.
– IT Literate, ideally experience in using either TEAMS / TRACKER software.

The role:
– Undertake Management, Refurbishment, Demolition and Reinspection surveys to Commercial & Industrial properties & sites.
– Conducting 4-stage clearances.
– Carrying out smoke, background, leak, re-occupation, and personal air testing.
– Undertaking Visual inspections of asbestos enclosures.
– Supervision of removal projects.
– Collecting site data using TEAMS / TRACKER software.
– Undertaking independent audits of contractors’ removal / remediation work.
– Liaising with clients and providing specialist consultancy advice.
