Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst
Location: Southend on Sea, Essex.
Salary / Benefits £19k – £30k +Training +Benefits
Level of Experience: Trainee Asbestos Lab Analyst through to Lead Asbestos Lab Analyst

A leading Asbestos Consultancy with a family feel are currently seeking a P401 qualified Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their South East office. You will be responsible for the booking of suspects ACMs, undertaking the analysis of asbestos bulk samples in line with ISO 17025 accreditation, and producing certificates to UKAS standards. For the right candidate the client can offer an above average salary and opportunities to gain further P Certs.

Experience & Qualifications:
” Must hold the BOHS P401 qualification and will have hands on experience working for a UKAS accredited Asbestos Company.
” A keen eye for detail, excellent communication and organisational skills.
” Excellent working knowledge of relevant Health and Safety / HSG Guidelines.
” Able to use industry relevant databases.

The Role:
” Analysis of samples in adherence to UKAS and HSG248 standards.
” Ensuring all samples are logged and stored correctly upon arrival to the laboratory.
” Prepare samples for analysis.
” Completing test analysis sheets upon completing analysis, ensuring clients receive results within the agreed time frame.
” Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
” Assist with in house training for new technicians.
” Completion of mandatory quality control checks including internal Bulk QC, colleague cross checks and AIMS.
” Liaising with clients, providing technical advice when needed, dealing with any issues efficiently.
