Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst
Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire
Salary / Benefits £19k – £29k +Training +Benefits
Level of Experience: Trainee Asbestos Lab Analyst through to Lead Asbestos Lab Analyst

Profile: Our client is a long-standing Asbestos Consultancy who work across Local Authority, Educational, and Healthcare, sites. Due to increase in workloads, they are now seeking to recruit an organised and BOHS P401 qualified Asbestos Lab Analyst based in and around the Bradford Area. The successful candidate will have previous experience working for an established Asbestos Consultancy within a laboratory setting and will be carrying out bulk sample analysis, booking in samples, maintaining the company’s databases and completing job sheets.

Experience & Qualifications:
” At a minimum will hold the BOHS P401 qualification.
” Experience working within an established asbestos company would be beneficial to the role.
” Will have a keen eye for detail and excellent working knowledge of relevant Health and Safety Guidelines.
” Able to manage workload efficiently and will have excellent communication skills.
” Will have excellent IT skills, confident in using industry related databases.

The Role:
” Preparing samples for analysis upon arrival to the laboratory and carrying out analysis of suspected ACMs in line with analytical and quality standards.
” Maintaining the company’s UKAS accreditation, ensuring that company databases are up to date.
” Ensuring all analytical equipment is calibrated and kept clean, ensuring safe working practices are being followed.
” Liaising with clients, dealing with any issues and queries efficiently.
” Ensuring work is being carried out in line with relevant Heath and Safety standards.
” Completing job sheets and ensuring they are being retuned back to clients within the agreed time frame.
