Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst.
Location: Newcastle, Tyne and Wear.
Salary / Benefits £22k – £26k + Training + Benefits
Level of Experience: Asbestos Lab Analyst through to Asbestos Lab Manager.

Privately owned Asbestos Consultancy, are now looking for an Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their friendly, UKAS accredited laboratory in the North East. The successful applicant will have a keen eye for detail and will have practical experience working within an Asbestos Laboratory using PLM and Stereo Light to carry out sample analysis. Our client can offer further training and opportunity to gain further P Certs.

Consideration will be given to candidate from: South Shields, Hebburn, North Shields, Wallsend, Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead, Cramlington, Blyth, Bedlington, Sunderland, Whitburn,Washington, Seaham, Houghton le Spring.

Experience & Qualifications:
” BOHS P401 is essential to the role.
” Experience working for a UKAS accredited Asbestos Company would be beneficial.
” Understanding of relevant HSG 248 guidelines.
” Will have a keen eye for detail and good organisational skills.

Working within an established Asbestos Laboratory, you will be carrying out the following:
” Sample analysis using PLM and Stereo Light.
” Logging in all samples that arrive to the laboratory, storing correctly.
” Ensuing work is being carried out in line with HSG 248 Guidelines.
” Ensuring to maintain the companies UKAS accreditation.
” Inputting results onto internal databases accurately.
” Working in line with safe working practices, keeping the laboratory tidy and calibrating laboratory equipment.
” Completing jobs sheets upon completion of sample analysis.
