Job Title: Asbestos Laboratory Analyst.
Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex.
Salary / Benefits £22k – £30k + Training + Benefits

UK leading Asbestos Consultancy are now seeking to recruit an Asbestos Laboratory Analyst to join their laboratory in the Essex area. You will hold the P401 qualification and will have experience working within a Laboratory for an established Asbestos Consultancy. You will be responsible for logging and storing asbestos samples safely, using TEAMS to book in samples, cleaning and calibrating equipment and carrying out sample analysis using PLM and stereo microscopy. Our client is open to receiving applications from both part time and full time applicants and can offer flexible / weekend work.
Consideration will be given to candidates from: South Benfleet, Canvey Island, Stanford-le-Hope, Rayleigh, Rochford, Basildon, Wickford, Billericay, Grays, Tilbury, Brentwood.

Experience & Qualifications:
” Holding the BOHS P401 is essential to the role.
” Experience working for a UKAS accredited consultancy in a laboratory setting.
” IT literate, able to use TEAMS.
” Keen eye for detail.
” Excellent communication and time management skills.
” Able to organise workload efficiently.

The Role:
” Promptly logging and correctly storing asbestos samples upon arrival to the laboratory.
” Preparing samples for analysis.
” Carrying out sample analysis using PLM and stereo microscopy.
” Booking in samples using TEAMS system.
” Calibrating and cleaning equipment.
” Ensuring to fill out job sheets upon completion of analysis.
” Ensuring safe working practices are carried out in the laboratory.
” Ensuring to work in line with relevant HSG guidelines.
