Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire.
Salary / Benefits £22k – £26k + Training + Benefits

Leading Asbestos Consultancy, are now seeking to recruit an Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their laboratory in the West Yorkshire region. You will be joining a busy and friendly laboratory, working alongside a team of experienced analysts. Holding the P401 is essential to the role, and you will be experienced in efficiently carrying out sample analysis using PLM and stereo microscopy, ensuring to complete analysis reports in line with agreed timeframes. Consideration will be given to candidates from: Bradford, Wakefield, Keighley, Huddersfield, Castleford, Batley, Halifax, Ilkley, Otley, Barnsley, Doncaster, Sheffield.

Experience & Qualifications:
” Will hold the BOHS P401 qualification.
” Experience working within a UKAS accredited Asbestos Laboratory.
” Extensive knowledge of HSG 248 guidelines.
” Keen eye for detail.
” Excellent IT skills.
” Able to work in line with strict time frames.
” Good communication skills.

The Role:
” Efficiently logging samples upon arrival to the laboratory, ensuring to store them safely.
” Preparing samples for analysis.
” Using PLM and stereo microscopy to carry out sample analysis, ensuring to work in line with HSG guidelines.
” Ensuring equipment is calibrated and the laboratory is clean.
” Completing asbestos analysis reports.
” Entering information from analysis onto internal systems accurately.
” Liaising with clients, maintaining a professional rapport.
