Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst.
Location: Hertford, Hertfordshire.
Salary / Benefits £22k – £32k + Training + Benefits

A professional asbestos management company with a strong South East presence are now seeking to take on a BOHS P401 qualified Asbestos Lab Analyst. You will be working alongside their longstanding team of analysts, carrying out sample analysis using PLM and stereo microscopy alongside calibrating equipment, and ensuring that job sheets are filled out in a timely manner and accurately. For the successful candidate, our client can offer excellent holiday allowance, company pension scheme, and long-term training plans.

Consideration will be given to candidates from: Sawbridgeworth, Harlow, Ware, Bishop’s Stortford, Cheshunt, Epping, Chelmsford, Enfield, Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Borehamwood, St Albans, Stevenage, Hitchin, Luton, Watford.

Experience & Qualifications:
” Holding the BOHS P401 is essential to the role.
” Will have a strong background working as a lab analyst for a UKAS accredited Asbestos Company.
” In-depth knowledge of relevant Health and safety guidelines.
” Will have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills.
” Able to manage workload efficiently in line with client / company needs.
The Role:
” Efficiently logging all samples upon arrival to the laboratory, ensuring all samples are labelled and stored safely and correctly.
” Using PLM and stereo microscopy to carry out sample analysis.
” Ensuring job sheets are filled out correctly prior to giving to clients in a timely manner.
” Ensuring to calibrate and clean all laboratory equipment.
” Ensuring samples are being carried out in line with relevant Health and Safety guidelines.
” Keeping internal databases up to date.
” Carrying out safe working practices in the laboratory.
