Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst / Administrator
Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex.
Salary / Benefits £19k – £27k +Training +Benefits
Level of Experience: Trainee Asbestos Lab Analyst / Administrator through to Lead Asbestos Lab Analyst / Administrator

Profile: Our client is a UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy who cover a range of Local Authority, Healthcare, Housing Association and Facilities Management sites. They are now seeking a BOHS P401 qualified Asbestos Lab Analyst / Administrator based in and around the Southend-on-Sea. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working within the Asbestos industry, carrying out analysis of asbestos bulk samples, completing test analysis sheets, as well as, carrying out day to day administrative duties, such as scheduling in work for site staff and carrying out document control.

Applications will be considered from: Canvey Islands, Basildon, Rayleigh, Grays, Billericay, Wickford, Brentwood, Rochford.

Experience & Qualifications:
” Will hold the P401 qualification and will have experience working within a laboratory / office setting for an established Asbestos Company.
” Will have a keen eye for detail and excellent knowledge of relevant Health and Safety / HSG guidelines.
” Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
” Able to manage time efficiently, in line with company needs.

The Role:
” Working within the company’s laboratory, preparing all samples for analysis.
” Caring out analysis of asbestos bulk samples, in line with UKAS regulations.
” Upon arrival, ensure all samples are logged and stored correctly.
” Ensuring safe working practices are being followed at all times, keeping the laboratory tidy.
” Completing test analysis sheets upon completion of sample analysis, ensuing they are passed back to clients within agreed time frame.
” Undertaking a mixed range of administrative duties such as scheduling surveys and analytical projects.
” Carrying out effective document control, ensuring the office runs smoothly day – to – day.
” Carrying out other administrative duties such as filing documents and scanning.
” Liaising with site staff, ensuring that all reports are accurate before sending out.
” Liaising with clients, providing support and technical support when needed, dealing with any issues efficiently.
