Job Description

A leading UKAS accredited asbestos consultancy with a good presence in the South East is actively seeking for a focused Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their busy laboratory/office in the London area and will include applications from Welling, Bromley, Beckenham and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

The applicant must hold the P401 certificate and must have ample and experience in carrying out analysis of asbestos bulk samples to determine the asbestos content and within a laboratory and asbestos industry.

Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal and must be competent in using the Microsoft Office Package.

Duties will include:

Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory.

Preparing samples for analysis and carrying out analysis for fibre content.

Completing technical paperwork and typing certificates of analysis.

Getting involved with other ad hoc duties as and when required.

Ensuring and complying with UKAS documentation and the Asbestos Quality Control Procedures.
