Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst / Supervisor
Location: Dartford, Kent.
Salary / Benefits £22k – £30k + Training + Benefits
Level of Experience: Asbestos Lab Analyst through to Asbestos Lab Manager

Leading Asbestos Outfit with a national presence, is currently recruiting an Asbestos Lab Analyst / Supervisor to join their Friendly Kent based team. The role is open to those with supervisor / team leader experience, as well as strong asbestos lab analysts that are looking to take the next step in their career. Candidates must be able to demonstrate practical experience working within a UKAS accredited lab and will hold a minimum of the P401.

The client is open to applications from candidates with good access to North Kent including; Erith, Bexleyheath, Sidcup, Bromley, Orpington, Swanley, Croydon, Gravesend, and the surrounding areas.

Experience & Qualifications:
– BOHS P401 (Essential).
– BOHS P403 (desirable).
– Working knowledge of asbestos quality guidelines.
– Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
– Strong leadership skills, ideally with experience within a supervisor experience.

The successful candidate will be undertaking a range of lab duties including;
– Managing a team of lab analysts, organising workloads, and dealing with any issues effectively.
– Assisting with auditing and ensuring that all work is being carried out in line with relevant health and safety legislations.
– Managing and monitoring the laboratory work loads.
– Updating the external quality control scheme within the lab.
– Undertaking the analysis of samples in adherend to quality standards.
– Calibration of equipment and tools.
– Formulation asbestos analysis reports.
– Providing ongoing training and support to lab staff.
– Ensuring that all samples are completed within the set timelines.
– Overseeing and assisting with the training of technicians and analysts.
– Undertaking sample analysis when and as needed.
