Job Description

This asbestos fast growing and well established consultancy that offers professional advice and technical support services on a wide range of asbestos disciplines is actively seeking for a keen and articulate Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their busy team/laboratory in West Midlands region. This role includes duties such as preparing samples for analysis, assuring appropriate storage and retention of samples. Applications from Birmingham, West Bromwich, Coventry, Telford and the surrounding areas will be taken into consideration.

Qualifications & Experience:

The individual must have attained the Asbestos P401 certificate and must have significant experience working within the laboratory environment and within the asbestos industry.

Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.

The main focus of the role is to analyze and report on the fibre content of both of samples submitted by clients.

Specific Aspects of the Role:

Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory.

Preparing samples for analysis.

Carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content.

Reporting analytical findings.

Ensuring appropriate storage and retention of samples.

Typing certificates of analysis and getting involved with other general laboratory duties as and when required.

Liaising with clients/staff.
