One of the top players within the asbestos industry is currently seeking to employ a self-motivated and ambitious Operations Manager in the South West. Applications from South Gloucestershire, Wiltshire or Somerset would be considered.

Qualifications and Experience:

The individual must have attained the P402/P403/P404 & S301/CCP qualifications and must come from a strong educational technical and management background.

Must have considerable experience working within this role and within the asbestos field.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting in the running of the operations, including site staff and clients

Overseeing staff and ensuring contract operations are coordinated with clients and are carried out effectively in accordance with site operations and company procedures.

Ensuring that all asbestos consultancy work is carried out in accordance with the Health and Safety procedures.

Assisting with tenders and quotations.

Getting involved with audits – improving quality and achieving satisfaction from clients/customers and staff.

Ensuring that projects are completed within time frame.

Managing and motivating a team of Asbestos Surveyors, Site Analysts and Asbestos Laboratory Analysts

Managing existing and new portfolio of contracts.

Generating new business leads.

Overall the successful candidate will be commercially focused and have the ability to manage the business and the client base.

Will have strong people, client management, project management, communication, presentation and organizational skills and at the same time have the ability to multi-task and work under pressure.

Will be innovative.
