Job Description

This established Asbestos Company is actively seeking the services of a high calibre and multi-skilled Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst to work on various contracts in the Durham and will consider applications from Newcastle upon Tyne, Sunderland, Gateshead, and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

The individual must have attained the P402/P403/P404 or the equivalent – RSPH qualifications and at the same time must have significant practical experience working within this role and within the asbestos parameter.

Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.

Must be well versed with Health and Safety procedures pertaining to asbestos.

Role Will Include:

Carrying out Management, Refurbishment/Demolition surveys on commercial, industrial and domestic properties.

Undertaking smoke, background, leak, reassurance, visual, 4 stage clearances and re-occupation and personal air.

Overseeing asbestos contractors on site carrying out removal work and ensuring that they adhere to the Health and Safety procedures with regards to asbestos.

Collating and producing comprehensive reports.

Building a good rapport with the company’s mixed portfolio of clients.

Requirements/Attributes:

The successful candidate will be smart, flexible, have good work ethic and have the aptitude to carry out the work effectively and within time frame and must be prepared to travel to sites as per client’s requirements.
