Job Title: Asbestos Technical Manager
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Salary / Benefits £40k – £55k +Training +Benefits

A professional Asbestos Consultancy, who provides the full range of asbestos monitoring services to private and public sector clients, is currently recruiting for a CCP qualified Asbestos Technical / Quality Manager to join there South East office. Candidates will have experience working for a UKAS accredited consultancy; overseeing internal audits / training, maintaining the company’s UKAS accreditations and implementing ISO and H&S procedures to ensure compliance. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a strong technical knowledge of the asbestos industry and will hold the CCP qualification as a minimum.

Experience & Qualifications:
” Will hold the CCP / CoCA qualification (minimum).
” Experience working within an Asbestos Technical / Quality Manager role.
” Able to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of HSG / UKAS guidelines and ISO standards.
” Experience developing training plans, managing quality control systems, and maintaining UKAS accreditations.

The Role:
” Ensuring that all technical and quality procedures are being followed and kept up to date in line with relevant legislation.
” Making improvements to technical standards of work carried out by staff.
” Managing a team of technical / quality staff, ensuring they run efficiently, within agreed time frames.
” Carrying out audits, inspections, and quality control to maintain the companies UKAS accreditations.
” Creating management and training plans for staff in line with company requirements.
” Liaising with clients, providing consultancy and technical advice, continuing to build and maintain excellent working relationships.
” Carrying out quality checks of surveying and analytical reports ensuring they are completed in line with audit requirements.
” Managing any non-conforming works and development of corrective and preventative action.
” Managing the company’s internal and external quality control system.
” Using TEAMS to keep databases up to date and produce accurate reports.
