Job Title: Fire Risk Assessor / Consultant
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Salary / Benefits £30k – £45k + Company Vehicle + Training +Benefits

Our client is an independent Risk Management Consultancy who provide specialised Health & Safety & Fire Risk services to private clients throughout the UK. Due to recent expansion, they are currently looking for an enthusiastic Fire Risk Assessor / Consultant to cover contracts across the Yorkshire and North West regions. The successful candidate will be carrying out Type 1 & Type 3 surveys across a portfolio of residential and commercial properties, compiling technical reports and following up with fire safety guidance / advice to clients.

Applications will be considered from candidates with good access to the Yorkshire / North West regions including – Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley, Chesterfield, Worksop, Mansfield, Wakefield, Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Blackburn, Bolton, Rochdale, Oldham, Manchester, Stockport, Warrington.

– Will hold the NEBOSH General / Fire Certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum.
– Membership of IOSH/ IFE / IFSM / IFPO would support your application.
– Proven track record of working as a Fire Risk Assessor – ideally within a consultancy setting.
– Strong client management skills.
– Good working knowledge of industry guidelines.

Duties will include:
– Undertaking type 1 & type 3 fire risk surveys to the company’s diverse client base.
– Carrying out pre-occupation surveys, evacuation plans and site-specific surveys.
– Fire plan drawings, fire drills, fire warden, use of extinguishers, real fire training, briefings, delivering training courses, etc.
– Providing Fire and Safety Guidance and investigating incidents and producing fire risk assessments reports.
