Job Description

Our client is a multi-disciplined and nationally recognised company delivering environmental, asbestos and water hygiene services to a diverse client base. They are now looking for an experienced, versatile and commercially focused Health & Safety Sales Manager based in and around the Birmingham area. The successful postholder will come from a strong health & safety background and will demonstrate their proven track record of effectively selling services to new and existing clients within an established company. Applications from Northampton, Leicester, Worcester, Stafford, Hereford and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience:

Must come from a strong sales background within an established company.
Extensive experience of working in a hands-on health & safety role will be beneficial.
A good working knowledge of health & safety policies and procedures used in environmental compliance sectors.
A good working knowledge of asbestos, water hygiene and environmental sectors.
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Package.

Duties of the role:

Promoting and selling company health & safety services to new and existing clients.
Dealing with key sectors effectively and promoting the business appropriately.
Identifying and pursuing new business leads.
To create strategies for achieving Key Performance Indicators.
To both maintain and develop the business – generate new business.
To reinforce achievement of targets and goals by generating new business leads and at the same time managing the company’s existing clients/accounts.
To finalise tenders and quotations.
Building and maintaining a strong professional relationship with clients.
Meeting targets and goals.
Management of existing accounts.

Overall, the ideal candidate will come from a strong sales background and will also have excellent technical knowledge of health & safety policy and procedures.
