Job Title: Legionella Risk Assessor
Location: Bristol, Somerset.
Salary / Benefits £22k – £34k +Training +Benefits
Level of Experience: Trainee Legionella Risk Assessor through to Lead Legionella Risk Assessor

Profile: Due to consistent growth , our client an established Legionella Consultancy, are now seeking to recruit a motivated and confident Legionella Risk Assessor to cover contracts across the South West Counties. The successful candidate will carry out Legionella risk assessments on Healthcare, Local Authority, Educational and Retail sites, producing detailed reports and providing clients with technical advice and support. Where required candidates will also be given the opportunity to assist managers in presenting Legionella Awareness courses. This opportunity would suit experienced Risk Assessor who are looking to cut down on extensive travel and gain a better work / life balance. Within this role the client is offering regional contracts, with candidate working a 40 hour week with core working hours spread across Monday – Friday.

Experience & Qualifications:
” Will hold an industry relevant qualification, e.g., City and Guilds or WMSoc in Legionella Risk Assessment.
” Will have excellent understanding and practical knowledge of HSG 274 / ACoP L8 guidelines.
” Will have experience working within a similar role for an established Water Hygiene / Legionella company.
” Proficient in using PDA / Tablet systems.
” Will have excellent communication / organisational skills.

The Role:
” Carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments on Hot and Cold-Water systems to ensure compliance with HSG 274 / ACoP L8 guidelines.
” Compiling Floor plans / Schematic drawings using computer drawing software.
” Producing technical reports and using these to advise clients on any issues of non compliance and offering recommendations on remedial works needed.
” Identifying opportunities to upsell of the back of the initial risk assessment e.g. Legionella Management Plans and Monthly Monitoring Programmes.
” Involvement with quality control requirements to maintain LCA registration.
” Where needed undertaking routine Water sampling, Temperature monitoring and surveying on client’s water systems.
” Assisting with delivering Legionella Awareness training to clients.
