Job Title: Legionella Risk Assessor
Location: Manchester, North West.
Salary / Benefits £22k – £35k + Training + Benefits
Level of Experience: Trainee Legionella Risk Assessor through to Legionella Consultant.

Profile: A multi-discipline Environmental Consultancy who specialise within the Water Hygiene / Legionella industry across Local Authority Industrial, Educational and Social Housing sites across the UK. They now have an opening for a City and Guilds / WMSoc qualified Legionella Risk Assessor to carry out Risk Assessments across the North West / Yorkshire area. You will be responsible for carrying out Risk Assessments on Hot and Cold-Water systems, producing site specific reports for clients, and carrying out basic water hygiene duties in line with client needs.
For the successful applicant, our client can offer cross training into other environmental sectors.

Applications will be considered from: Oldham, Stockport, Rochdale, Warrington, Bolton, Bury, Blackburn, Preston, St Helens, Liverpool, Huddersfield, Bradford, Keighley, Leeds, Barnsley, Rotherham, Sheffield, Chester Crewe, Macclesfield.

Experience & Qualifications:
” Experience working in a Risk Assessment role.
” Must hold the City and Guilds / WMSoc in Legionella Risk Assessments.
” Must hold a full licence and be willing to travel across the North West / Yorkshire region.
” Will have excellent communication and organisational skills.
” Keen eye for detail and excellent knowledge of HSG 274 / ACoP L8.
” Able to use PDA / Tablet systems.

The Role:
” Carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments on Hot and Cold-Water systems.
” Working across a mixed portfolio if clients e.g., Local Authority Industrial, and Educational and Social Housing.
” Using PDA to provide detailed, and accurate reports.
” Providing clients with advice on findings from Risk Assessments, risk factors and remedial works to be carried out.
” Using tablet system to ensure onsite logbooks are being kept up to date.
” Undertaking routine water sampling and temperature monitoring.
” Producing schematic drawings.
” Ensuring work is being carried out in line with ACoP L8 / HSG 274 guidelines.
” Managing workload, setting aside time to type up reports, liaising with clients and following up with technical advice.
