Job Description

Our client is an established water treatment company, who provide a range of water hygiene, treatment and legionella services to longstanding clients. They are currently recruiting for a professional and experienced Legionella Risk Assessor based in or around the Harrogate area. The successful candidate must hold a strong work history and have previous experience in under-taking legionella risk assessment to commercial contracts. Consideration will be given to candidates from Ripon, Boroughbridge, Knaresborough, Tadcaster and the surrounding areas.

Experience:

The applicant must come from a good educational, chemical and technical background and must be fully conversant with the ACOP L8 guidelines.
Will have hands on experience delivering water hygiene duties to a varied site base.
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Packages.

Key Responsibilities Will Include:

Disinfection of mains water systems, tank cleans and descales, changing and replacing tanks, remedial work, flushing systems, water softeners, etc.
Monitoring client’s air and water systems and ensuring that they comply with the current Health and Safety legislation.
Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold-water systems and cooling towers.
Carrying out temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analysing water systems.
Interpreting the results and maintaining and installing dosing systems, etc.
Providing accurate reports and maintaining paperwork.
Building and maintaining a good rapport with the clients.
Carrying out plumbing work as and when required.
