This diverse and emerging player within the water treatment industry is currently seeking the services of a good calibre, multi-skilled and committed Legionella Risk Assessor/Water Treatment Engineer to cover contracts predominately in and around the Oxford area and will include applications from Aylesbury, High Wycombe, Reading, Milton Keynes, and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

The applicant will ideally have attended an approved Risk Assessment course – City & Guilds and must have previous working knowledge of ACOP L8 and significant experience of carrying out L8 risk assessments within the water treatment/water Hygiene industry – ideally from a Legionella Consultancy background.

Must also have good working knowledge of chemical treatment of cooling towers, steam boilers, commercial water systems, supplies and water regulations governing these.

Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.

IT literate.

Must have hands on experience in plumbing.

Must have a proven track record working within this role and within the water treatment parameter.

Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out Legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 risk assessments on various properties, as per client’s requirements.

Compiling schematic drawings, as well as producing final documents f or clients/customers.

Providing recommendations and prices for remedial works, routine control measures through maintenance regimes, quotations, and carrying out such works based on the risk assessment.

Carrying out monthly temperature testing and water sampling.

Carrying out survey of water systems and supplies as per ACOP L8.

Collating and producing comprehensive reports and attending meetings with clients to discuss findings of reports.

Carrying out temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analyzing water systems, closed systems, dosing/sampling and interpreting the results.

Chlorination.

CWST cleans and disinfections.

Building and maintaining a good rapport with the clients.

Ensuring work is completed within time frame and dealing with issues effectively.

Carrying out plumbing work as and when required.

Visiting various sites.

The successful candidate will be flexible, reliable and hardworking, have good work ethic and at the same time have the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team and must be flexible with regards to travelling to sites designated by the client.
