Job Title: Occupational Hygiene Technician / Consultant
Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire
Salary / Benefits: £22k – £35k + Company Vehicle + Benefits

Leading Consultancy with a reputation for providing high-end Occupational Hygiene and Health & Safety services to blue-chip clients, are currently recruiting for an Occupational Hygiene Technician / Consultant. Successful candidates will be covering contracts across the South East / Home Counties region, delivering professional workplace monitoring services to large infrastructure projects. The client is open to experience and is happy to receive applications from entry level occupational hygiene technicians, who hold 1 or more modules. Candidates must be flexible with a passion to progress within the occupation hygiene sector, in return the client can offer structure training plans and support to gain BOHS modules.

The client is open to location but the ideal candidate would be based with good access to the Home Counties / London regions. Areas include but are not limited to; Luton, Stevenage, Hitchin, Letchworth Garden City, Bedford, Milton Keynes, Leighton Buzzard, St Albans, Hatfield, Bishop’s Stortford, Harlow, Enfield, North London, Watford, Aylesbury, Buckingham, Bicester, Oxford, Reading, Slough, Bracknell.

Experience / Qualifications:

– Holding 1 or more BOHS modules e.g. W201, W501, W502, W503 qualifications (Desirable)
– BOHS P600, P601 and P602 would be beneficial to the role but not essential.
– Background within Occupational Hygiene or Environmental Monitoring.
– Will ideally have experience working within a consultancy setting.
– Articulate and able to present technical knowledge in both written and verbal formats.
– Full UK driving license and happy to travel across the South East.

Duties will include but not limited to.
– Carrying out workplace assessments e.g., air monitoring, COSHH assessment, noise, fume, dust, HAV surveys, local exhaust ventilation examination, indoor air quality and Legionella.
– Producing technical reports to present findings to clients.
– Delivering toolbox talks to clients.
– Carrying out site assessments in line with client needs.
– Carrying out emissions testing.
– Accurately recording test results and producing technical documents.
– Attending business meetings, representing the company in a professional manner.
– Undertaking training where required, continuously developing, and updating your knowledge.
– Liaising with clients, providing technical support and advice, dealing with any queries.
– Managing own work schedule efficiently in line with company and client needs.
