Job Description

Our client is a highly-regarded name within the occupational hygiene industry with an excellent reputation for providing a wide range of professional services to clients across the UK. They are currently seeking the services of an experienced Occupational Hygienist based in and around the Bristol area. The ideal applicant will hold a BIOH/IOA or equivalent qualification and will be fully conversant in health and safety policies and procedures. Previous experience carrying out air, noise and LEV monitoring duties will also be beneficial. Applications from Bath, Chippenham, Trowbridge, Weston-super-Mare and surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience:

Will hold BIOH/IOA or equivalent qualifications.
Holding the qualification in general Health and Safety (e.g. – NEBOSH Certificate) would be beneficial.
A good working knowledge of the relevant disciplines involved.
Good working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
Possess strong communication skills.

Role:

Undertaking a wide range of occupational hygiene related projects such as workplace assessments – air monitoring, COSHH assessments, noise, fumes, dust and hand-arm vibration surveys, local exhaust ventilation (LEV) examination and testing and indoor air quality.
Liaising with the company’s large client base on a regular basis.
Managing the projects/contracts and clients effectively.
Emissions Testing.
Site Assessments.
Building and maintaining professional working relationships with clients.
Ensuring compliance to MCERTS standards.
