Our client is a leading UKAS and MCERTS accredited environmental consultancy, that provides a wide range of occupational hygiene and health & safety services to clients throughout the UK. Due to recent expansion, they are currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced Occupational Hygienist based in and around the Darlington area. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working as an occupational hygienist and will ideally hold multiple BOHS modules. Consideration will be given to applicants from Northallerton, Middlesborough, Barnard Castle, Durham and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

Will hold one or more BOHS module and come from a strong educational background.
Previous experience within an Occupational Hygiene role.
Ideally hold BIOH/IOA or equivalent qualifications.
Holding the qualification in general Health & Safety (e.g. NEBOSH Certificate) would be beneficial.
A good working knowledge of the relevant disciplines involved.
Excellent communication skills.
Well versed with Health & Safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Working within a mix of commercial/Industrial sectors
Undertake a broad range of occupational hygiene related projects such as workplace assessments – air monitoring, COSHH assessments, noise, fumes, dust and hand-arm vibration surveys, local exhaust ventilation (LEV) examination, testing and indoor air quality.
Liaising with the company’s high profile clients on a regular basis.
Manage projects and contracts effectively and within the specified times given.
Emissions Testing.
Site Assessments.
