Job Description

This rapidly expanding asbestos consultancy who offer a wide range of professional services on all asbestos and environmental disciplines nationwide now need to recruit a competent and experienced Occupational Hygienist based in and around the Manchester area. Applications from Bolton, Rochdale, Stockport, Stretford and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience:

Must hold BIOH/IOA or equivalent qualifications.
Holding extra qualifications such as general Health and Safety (eg – NEBOSH Certificate) would be advantageous.
A good working knowledge of the relevant disciplines involved.
Fully conversant with the Health and Safety procedures.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Key Responsibilities:

The work will involve undertaking a wide range of occupational hygiene related projects such as workplace assessments – air monitoring, COSHH assessments, noise, fumes, dust and hand-arm vibration surveys, local exhaust ventilation (LEV) examination and testing and indoor air quality.
Liaising with the company’s high profile clients.
Managing the projects/contracts and clients effectively.
Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with the Health & Safety procedures and legislation.
