Our client is a well-regarded and thriving clean air company known for their expertise in providing validation and LEV services to a mixed portfolio of clients. They now seek the services of an experienced, committed and skilled Validation Engineer based in and around the Sheffield area. The successful postholder will hold the BOHS P601 certificate as well as considerable experience carrying out clean room validations in accordance with HTM 0301. Previous experience carrying out test on LEV systems and fume cupboards will also be beneficial within the role. Applications from Rotherham, Chesterfield, Huddersfield and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications/Experience:

Will hold experience working as a validation engineer within the critical ventilation / healthcare sector.
Will ideally hold the P601 and relevant Eastwood Park Training.
Experience of testing LEV’s, fume cupboards, laminar flow cabinets is desirable but not essential.
Experience in undertaking a wide range of critical ventilation testing.
Proven track record of Validating and verifying ventilation systems in accordance with HTM 03-01 regulations.
Able to demonstrate an understanding of compliance and health & safety guidelines.
Effective organisational skills and the ability to manage own time and workload.
Confident in building and maintain client relationships.
Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.

Postholder responsibilities:

Testing critical ventilation systems within the healthcare sector; validating and verifying the systems in accordance with the relevant industry regulations.
Carrying out airflow and pressure measurements, microbiological air sampling, noise and environmental measurements, auditing of Air Handling Units (AHUs) and re-balancing airflows.
Carrying DOP and HEPA testing.
Report writing and consulting with clients on findings and recommendations.
Maintenance of instruments & equipment. Including, arranging repairs and recalibrations when necessary
Providing support and training to site engineers

Overall, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive and adaptable approach to their work as well as excellent technical knowledge and experience working within the clean air sector.
