Job Description

An opportunity has arisen within a nationally recognised water hygiene company who deliver a range of water services to a mixed portfolio of clients. The company are currently recruiting for a hardworking and committed Water Hygiene Engineer based in and around the Watford area. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out duties such as cleaning and disinfection on hot and cold systems as well as cooling towers. Previous experience undertaking remedial plumbing duties will also be beneficial to the role. Consideration will also be given to applications from Wembley, St. Albans, Enfield, Edgware and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & experience:

Experience working as a water hygiene engineer within the water industry.
Knowledge and understanding of relevant health and safety legislation.
Good communication skills – both written and verbal.
Proficient IT skills including Microsoft office package.

Duties within the role:

Carry out cleaning, disinfection and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems and cooling towers.
Undertaking temperature monitoring, routine sampling and analysis of water systems.
Monitor the client’s air and water systems ensuring compliance with the current Health and Safety legislation.
Maintenance and installation of dosing systems.
Undertaking TMVs servicing, shower descales and inspection and disinfection of CWST.
Annual cold water tank inspections.
