Job Description

Due to consistent growth and business requirements, an opportunity has arisen for a tenacious and self-motivated Water Treatment Engineer based in and around the Edgware area to join this highly respectable and diverse water treatment company in London and will include applications from Hatfield, St Albans, Harrow, Watford and the surrounding areas.

The applicant must come from a good educational, chemical and technical background and must be fully conversant with the ACOP L8 guidelines.

Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.

Must have significant practical experience working within this role and within the water treatment industry.

Key Responsibilities Will Include:

Disinfection of mains water systems, tank cleans and descales, changing and replacing tanks, remedial work, flushing systems, water softeners, etc.

Monitoring client’s air and water systems and ensuring that they comply with the current Health and Safety legislation.

Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold-water systems and cooling towers.

Carrying out temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analysing water systems.

Interpreting the results and maintaining and installing dosing systems, etc.

Providing accurate reports and maintaining paperwork.

Building and maintaining a good rapport with the clients.

Attributes:

Overall the successful post-holder will be commercially focused, flexible, and reliable and have the ability to work independently and under pressure and must be prepared to travel to designated sites as per client’s requirement.
