Job Title: Water Treatment Service Chemist / Account Manager
Location: Nottingham, East Midlands.
Salary / Benefits £22k – £45k +Training +Benefits
Level of Experience: Trainee Water Treatment Service Chemist through to Lead Water Treatment Service Chemist

Profile: Due to an increased work load, we are currently working with an established and reputable Water Treatment company. who are seeking a driven and hard working Water Treatment Service Chemist based to cover contracts across the Yorkshire / Midlands / M1 regions. The successful candidate will be working on a range of Healthcare, Educational, Food & Beverage, and Heavy Industry client sites undertaking a split of Service Chemistry and Account Management duties. Candidates will come from a strong Water Treatment / Chemistry / Technical background and will be experienced carrying out the analysis of closed loop systems, cooling towers and steam boiler water systems. For the right candidate the client can offer recognised course training, above average commission structure and company car.

Applicants will have excellent access to the M1 / Yorkshire and consideration will be given to candidates from: Mansfield, Chesterfield, Worksop, Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley, Leeds, Wakefield, Loughborough, Leicester, Derby.

Experience & Qualifications:
” Previous experience working as a Service Engineer/ Service Chemist/ Accounts Manager for known Water Treatment company.
” Will ideally hold a Chemistry degree / qualification and/or the WMSoc certificate in Steam Boiler/ Cooling Tower chemistry.
” Must have excellent understanding of Water Treatment systems and the use of chemicals.
” Excellent working knowledge of ACoP L8 / Health and safety guidelines is essential to the role.
” Able to communicate and organise workload efficiently.

The Role:
” Covering heavy industry and manufacturing sites; conducing weekly/ monthly sampling and analysis of Steam Boiler and Cooling Tower water.
” Using on site test kits and analysing water samples, making accurate calculations.
” Managing own work schedule and attending sites on a weekly/ monthly basis.
” LTHW/ CHW analysis, dosing with correct chemicals and inhibitors.
” Producing service reports and advising clients on system productivity.
” Upselling remaining services to clients and quoting for new works.
” Troubleshooting on site and providing advice to clients on the phone and via email.
