Due to consistent growth and current business requirement, this expanding and prominent asbestos company with a good presence in the South East is actively seeking the services of a high calibre, self-driven and commercially focused Asbestos Bid Manager in the London area and will include applications from Harlow, Hertford, Watford, Luton, and the surrounding areas.
The applicant must come from a good educational background, ideally holding a degree would be beneficial.
Must have significant experience in bid management, sales, business development, commercial, removals, and project and risk management.
A good knowledge of the commercial sectors – asbestos, construction.
Must have excellent communication, people management, organizational, presentation and leadership skills.
Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Package.
The Purpose of the Role:
Identifying asbestos consultancy – looking for opportunities within the commercial, public and private sectors.
Preparing and winning bids and at the same time taking responsibility of the bid process – end to end.
Maintaining registrations with appropriate authorities/bodies to ensure receipt of relevant EOIs, PQQs and Tender notifications.
Managing the Bid qualification process effectively and appropriately.
Managing the bid inputs i.e. from stakeholders – sales, marketing, finance, technical teams, legal etc.
Preparing and reviewing the technical side of the bid and ensuring that the quality side – submission is accurate and presentable and market leading.
Ensuring that the client information is maintained and liaising and ensuring tenders are submitted accurately.
Working alongside with the Sales and Managing Directors and making sure that the technical and commercial aspects of the tenders are completed with time line.
Completing the written proposals – preparing management summary.
Delivering compliant and commercial sound bids – understanding and resolving various business issues – technical, etc.
Arranging post bid reviews and feedback with clients/customers.
Delivering continual improvement with regards to tender documentation.
Maintaining and building a good relationship with the Marketing Manager and the company’s mixed portfolio of clients.
Overall, the successful candidate will be of smart disposition, versatile and flexible and have the acumen to managing multiple projects simultaneously and at the same time ensuring that all information is consistent and up to date and take the business to the next step.
