Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire.
Salary / Benefits £19k – £25k +Training +Benefits
Level of Experience: Trainee Asbestos Lab Analyst through to Lead Asbestos Lab Analyst

Profile: Our client is a leading name and UKAS accredited asbestos company who provide the full range of asbestos services to a range of industrial and commercial clients across the UK. They are now looking to take on a qualified and organised Asbestos Lab Analyst based in and around the Leeds area. The ideal candidate will hold the P401 qualification, and will have extensive experience working in a laboratory setting within the asbestos industry, undertaking analysis of asbestos samples and preparing bulk samples.
Applications will be considered from: Bradford, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Hull, Goole, Sheffield, Doncaster, Rotherham, Barnsley, Harrogate, Malton, and Thirsk
Experience & Qualifications:
” Will ideally hod the P401 qualification and hold extensive experience working within a laboratory in an asbestos environment.
” Will have working knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation.
” Must have good organisational skills.
” Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
” Proficient in using Microsoft office.
The Role:
” Carrying out analysis of asbestos materials and entering the results onto database, ensuring the data is accurate and in line with UKAS standards.
” Receiving and preparing asbestos bulk samples.
” Maintaining and developing UKAS accreditation systems.
” Maintaining and assisting with quality control and data in an appropriate and accurate way and complying with the company’s quality systems.
” Ensuring that all analytical equipment used are kept clean and up to date.
” Liaising with clients and managers as and when required – dealing with issues effectively and appropriately.
” Assisting and maintaining the company’s the Quality Control system, etc.
” Solving problems pertaining to laboratory tests and making sure that the samples are stored appropriately or returned to the right place.
” Complying with the Health & Safety procedures.
” Getting involved with any other laboratory duties as and when required.
