Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst
Location: Dartford, Kent
Salary/Benefits: £25k – £33k + Training & Benefits

Applicants will need to be based in / around: Dartford, Erith, Gravesend, Chatham, Sittingbourne, Aylesford, Maidstone, East Malling, Snodland, Sevenoaks, Staplehurst, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Oxted, Westerham, Sidcup, Orpington, Bromley, Sidcup, Caterham, Redhill, Grays, Rainham, Tilbury.

Experience / Qualifications:
– Must hold the BOHS P401 qualification
– Successful track record of working as an Asbestos Lab Analyst within a UKAS accredited company
– Robust technical knowledge, including the HSG 248 guidelines
– Strong eye for detail
– Good IT and literacy skills
– Able to work both independently and within teams

The Role:
– Completing the bulk analysis of suspected analysis of asbestos containing materials to confirm its presence and type
– Using PLM and stereo microcopy methods to complete analysis
– Safely handling and storing samples
– Entering analysis data onto the company database
– Issuing certificates to clients
– Looking after the laboratory to ensure everything is clean and in good working order, and organising repairs / servicing if required
– Working to agreed targets and timescales
