Job Description

Our client is a busy asbestos company focusing mainly on laboratory analysis and is currently seeking for a good calibre and focused Asbestos Lab Analyst to join them in the North West and will include applications from Warrington, Crewe, Chester and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

Ideally the individual must possess the P401 certificate and must have a proven track record working within this role in a similar environment and with the asbestos industry.

Key Role:

Receiving and preparing samples from site.

Carrying out analysis of asbestos materials, etc., entering the results in LIMS and generating accurate data in line with standards – UKAS.

Maintaining and developing UKAS accreditation systems.

Maintaining and assisting quality control and data in an appropriate and accurate way and complying with the company’s quality systems.

Ensuring that all analytical equipment used are kept clean and up to date.

Solving problems pertaining to laboratory tests, and making sure that the samples are stored or returned to the right place.

Getting involved with any other laboratory duties as and when required when required.

Overall, the successful candidate will be versatile, have good communication, organisational, IT skills and at the same time have good attention to detail and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
