Job Description
Due to consistent growth of the business this highly successful and dynamic asbestos company with a good presence throughout the UK, is currently seeking an enthusiastic, self-driven and commercially focused Asbestos Operations/Contracts Manager based in and around Greater Manchester area. The successful candidate will be undertaking a split operations and contract management role. Ideally, they are looking for an individual who has previous experience working as either an Asbestos Contracts Manager or an Asbestos Operational Manager. Applications will be considered from Liverpool, Preston, Warrington, Oldham and the surrounding areas.
The applicant will ideally come from a good educational/technical and will have extensive experience working within either a contract management or operations role within the asbestos industry.
Will ideally come from an asbestos removals background.
Must be fully with the Health and Safety procedures pertaining to asbestos.
Must have excellent organisational, presentation, people management, leadership, client facing and management skills.
Must be a good communicator and proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
Role Will Encompass:
Managing asbestos site and office staff.
Over-seeing large scaled asbestos removals contracts.
Getting involved with recruitment, training and developing staff and ensuing that the procedures are followed with regards to appraisals, etc.
Overseeing work carried out by asbestos removal teams and ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with the Health & Safety procedures.
Organising labour running.
Completing risk assessments and method statements and writing tenders, PPQs, specifications, appraisals and ASB5 notifications.
Meeting Key Performance Indicators.
Assessing potential contracts and estimating.
Making recommendations and improving client service and delivery.
Collating and producing monthly management reports using company procedures and guidelines.
Attending meetings regularly and reporting any issues.
Supporting other offices – regionally and nationally with regards staff allocation and resourcing.
Monitoring targets and achieving continuous profit goals.
Winning new contracts – cross selling the company’s other services to clients/customers, whilst still managing existing accounts.
Assisting sales team.
Building and maintaining a good rapport with clients/customers.
Overall, the successful post-holder will be of smart disposition and have the aptitude to carry the business to a high standard and at the same time take it to the next level.
