Our client is a well-established name in the asbestos industry and due to continued success they now need an Asbestos Operations Manager in and around the Midlands region to cover contracts nationwide. This role includes duties such as developing new business leads, updating the databases, communicating with clients and the public in a professional manner. Applications from Worcester, Derby, Birmingham, Leicester and the surrounding areas will be taken into consideration.

Requirements:

Must possess P402/P403/P404 certificates or the equivalent RSPH or S301/CCP qualifications.
Significant experience of working within this role and the asbestos industry.
Will need a strong technical/office/management/sales/accounts/consultancy/operational background.
Excellent communication skills.
A good working knowledge of asbestos Health & Safety procedures/legislation.
Proficient in Microsoft office package.

Principal Role:

Develop new business leads.
Manage, develop and train a team of surveyors/analysts/staff.
Run the operations side of the business – office, site staff and clients on a daily basis.
Update the databases, produce management plans, quotations etc.
Ensure contract operations are co-ordinated with clients and carried out effectively.
Deal with invoices, maintain personnel records, spreadsheets etc.
Liaise with clients/general public in a professional manner.
Comply with all quality and technical procedures in regards to asbestos.
Attend sites and carry out audits – report analytical findings
Produce accurate asbestos reports, method statements, risk assessment and associated site paperwork.
Assist with tenders, quotations.
Establish and maintain a professional relationship with the company’s large portfolio of clients.
