Due to acquiring new and prestigious contracts, this well established and prominent UKAS accredited and client based asbestos consultancy with a large presence currently has an opportunity for a high calibre, committed and multi-skilled Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst to join their busy team in Scotland – Central Belt. Undertaking duties such as personal air testing, producing reports, supervising asbestos contractors on site and making sure that they are following H&S regulations. Applications from Hamilton, Falkirk, Paisley, Cumberland, and the surrounding areas will be taken into consideration.

Qualifications & Experience:

The applicant must have attained the P402, P403 and P404 or the equivalent – RSPH qualifications and at the same time must have significant experience working within this role and within the asbestos sector.

Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and must be IT literate.

Must be fully conversant with the Health & Safety procedures pertaining to asbestos.

Must have good client-facing skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out asbestos 4 stage clearances, smoke, background, leak reassurance, visual, re-occupation and personal air testing.

Carrying out Management, Refurbishment/Demolition surveys on various properties, including commercial and industrial.

Supervising asbestos contractors on site and ensuring that they adhere with the Health and Safety procedures with regards to asbestos.

Collating and producing accurate asbestos reports as and when required.

Building and maintaining a good rapport with the company’s clients.

Overall, the successful post holder will be flexible, versatile, have good work ethic and have the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team and at the same time must be prepared to travel extensively to sites designated by the client.
