Job Title: Health and Safety / Fire Consultant
Location: Livingston, Central Scotland
Salary/Benefits: £30k – £52k + Training & Benefits
We are recruiting for a knowledgeable Health and Safety / Fire Consultant with good access to the Central Belt of Scotland. Our client is a respectable health and safety compliance consultancy who have a rapidly growing portfolio of clients in the region, so candidates will need to be able to hit the ground running. Our client is ideally seeking someone based in one of the following areas: Livingston, Broxburn, Bathgate, Linlithgow, Bo’ness, Queensferry, Falkirk, Ediburgh, Dalkeith, Bonnyrig, Shotts, Carluke, Airdrie, Bellshill, Motherwell, Larkhall, Glasgow, Cumbernault, Milngavie, East Kilbride, Stirling, Dunblane, Dunfermline, Kircaldy, Rosyth, Glenrothes, Methil, Perth, Dundee, Milnathort.
Experience / Qualifications:
– Must have a successful record working as a Health and Safety / Fire Consultant within a well-established consultancy
– Will hold industry-related qualifications such as: NEBOSH General, NEBOSH Fire, Fire Risk Diploma
– It would be beneficial to have industry memberships / qualifications, such as: IOSH, CMIOSH and / or IFE
– Excellent technical knowledge
– Comfortable discussing technical matters directly with clients
– Able to prioritise workload
– Good written and IT skills
The Role:
– Undertaking thorough health and safety and fire risk assessments across a mix of commercial, manufacturing, domestic and public sector client sites
– Creating bespoke reports for clients
– Meeting clients on site to discuss findings and make technical recommendations
– Reviewing current safety plans and making required amendments
– Ensuring to keep up-to-date with any industry / compliance updates
– Conducting accident investigations
– Liaising with contractors and third party authorities
– Attending client sites to discuss requirements and provide updates
– Delivering training sessions to clients and internal staff
