Job Description

Our client is a diverse and highly-acclaimed water management company who offer a range of water treatment/hygiene and legionella services throughout the UK. They are presently looking to employ an experienced and highly-skilled Lead Legionella Risk Assessor based around the Birmingham area and other areas in the South West. Ideally, they are looking for applicants who have extensive experience in carrying out in depth technical Legionella Risk Assessments. Applicants must also have in-depth knowledge of ACOP L8 guidelines and excellent technical water treatment knowledge. Applications from Worcester, Cheltenham, Bristol, Reading, and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications/Experience:

Must have attended City and Guilds Legionella Risk Assessment course or equivalent WMS qualification.
Will have significant practical experience in carrying out legionella risk assessments on a varied site base.
Ideally the applicant will come from a strong educational, chemical, consultancy and technical background.
Will have an in-depth working knowledge of ACOP L8.
Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
Must have good organisational client-facing, leadership and people management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments in line with ACOP L8.
Compiling schematic drawings as well as producing final documents.
Providing monthly temperature testing and water sampling.
Producing survey of water systems and supplies as per ACOP L8.
Collating the relevant information and producing accurate reports.
Building and maintaining a good rapport with the company’s mixed portfolio of clients.
Providing consultancy services and auditing.
Overseeing staff and ensuring that they carry out the work effectively.
Dealing with issues effectively and appropriately.
Completing work within timeline.

Attributes:

In general, the successful applicant will be versatile, flexible and have a thorough knowledge of commercial and industry water systems and the regulations governing this.
Must be flexible with regards to travelling to sites designated by the client.
Must have the ability to work independently and prioritize workload.
