Job Title: Occupational Hygiene Consultant
Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire
Salary / Package: £28k – £40k + Company Vehicle, Generous Overtime Rates

Established Environmental Consultancy, who provide the full range of compliance, health & Safety and workplace monitoring services are currently recruiting for an Occupational Hygiene Consultant to join their team. The successful consultant will be traveling across the Yorkshire area, delivering workplace monitoring programmes to newly won contracts. Candidates will hold a strong work history and will have a good working knowledge of workplace assessments and hazardous substances. The role would suit candidates who are looking to gain a good work life balance and work regionally.

Candidates will be based in areas with good access to the West / South Yorkshire area; Leeds, Huddersfield, Halifax, Bradford. Batley, Dewsbury, Wakefield, Castleford, Pontefract, Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham, Sheffield, Chesterfield and the surrounding areas.

Experience:
– Will hold 1 or more BOHS certificates relating to Occupational Hygiene (W501, W503, W507).
– BOHS P600, P601 and P602 would be beneficial to the role but not essential.
– Current / Previous experience working within an Occupational Hygiene role.
– Professional manner – able to work well as part of a team.
– Ideally experience within a consultancy setting, able to relay technical advice to clients.
– Full Driving License

Role:
– Carrying out a range of monitoring programmes to determine worker exposure to hazardous substances.
– Undertaking occupational noise, dust and fume assessments.
– Undertaking Hand, Arm, Vibration risk assessments.
– Carrying out LEV assessments.
– Undertaking COSHH assessments.
– Using technical knowledge to provide consultancy advice and recommendations of actions need, to clients on how to improve workplace environments.
– Answering enquiries and providing quotations for works.
– Producing written reports following workplace assessments.
