Job Title: Water Hygiene Engineer
Location: Basildon, Essex
Salary/Benefits: £25k – £36k + Training & Benefits

We are recruiting for a well-established Water Hygiene company, with a strong presence in the South East of England, who are seeking a driven Water Hygiene Engineer to join their team. The role consists of primarily Water Hygiene duties and some minor remedial tasks, such as: deadleg removals and smaller-scale pipework replacements, so applicants will need proven experience in these areas. Salaries are competitive and benefits packages include: a company vehicle and overtime opportunities.

Experience / Qualifications:
– Must have proven experience working as a Water Hygiene Engineer
– Well-versed in HSG 274 and ACOP L8 guidelines
– Will ideally hold remedial / plumbing experience and qualifications such as: G3 Vented & Unvented as well as NVQ level 1, 2 and / or 3
– Good literacy and numeracy skills
– Comfortable using IT software to complete reports
– Hardworking attitude

The Role:
– Undertaking a wide variety of ACOP L8 compliance duties to ensure premises remain safe
– TMV servicing and replacements
– Showerhead descales
– Deadleg removals
– Cleans & disinfections on CWST
– Smaller pipework repairs and replacements
– Valve replacements
– Water sampling
– Temperature monitoring
– Tank refurbishments and replacements
– Writing detailed service reports to document works undertaken
