Job Title: Water Hygiene Engineer / Plumber
Location: Manchester, North West.
Salary / Benefits £22k – £35k +Training +Benefits
Level of Experience: Trainee Water Hygiene Engineer / Plumber through to Lead Water Hygiene Engineer / Plumber

Environmental firm with established Legionella/ Water department is in need of a further Remedial/ Water Hygiene Engineer to join their growing team. The NVQ L2 in Plumbing is required and G3/WREGS tickets are desirable. Must be confident in carrying out post risk assessment remedial tasks including dead leg removal, TMV changes, CWST refurbs and cylinder servicing, as well as assisting in L8 compliance works when required. For the right candidate our client can offer a van with, personal use and fuel card, Generous holiday package allowance and above average pension contributions.

Experience & Qualification:
” Must have experience working within an established Water Hygiene / legionella industry.
” At a minimum will hold the City and Guilds / NVQ (L2/L3) in plumbing.
” Holding the G3/WREGS tickets is desirable.
” Will have excellent communication and organisational skills.
” Able to demonstrate excellent working knowledge of Health and Safety / ACoP L8 / HTM 0401 guidelines.
” Competent in using PDA / Tablet systems.

The Role:
” Conversion of tanks to mains and CWST refurbishments.
” Unvented cylinder installs and servicing.
” RPZ valve installation and testing.
” Carrying out fault-finding, diagnosing issues and ensuring all work issues are dealt with in a timely manner.
” Removing redundant pipework and dead legs.
” TMV Installations and servicing.
” Carrying out rerouting of pipework and making any necessary modifications.
” Working on a mixed portfolio of sites carrying out Water sampling / Temperature monitoring.
” Cleaning and chlorinating on hot and cold-water systems.
” Using PDA /Tablet system to update onsite logbooks and complete job sheets and producing detailed reports.
” Ensuring all work is being carried out in line with ACoP L8 / Health and Safety / HTM 0401 Guidelines.
” Professionally liaising with clients, maintaining excellent working relationships.
