Job Title: Water Treatment Engineer
Location: Reading, Berkshire
Salary/Benefits: £25k – £36k + Training & Benefits

Our client is a privately-owned Water Treatment / Legionella company, with their main client base in the South East of England. They are seeking a hardworking Water Treatment Engineer to join their team and undertake a mix of duties, ranging from: equipment inspections and servicing to cleans and disinfections. Applicants would benefit from access to the M25 and / or M3 to access the portfolio of client sites, including: commercial, local authority and domestic. The role will be covering sites throughout: Reading, Bracknell, Slough, Southall, Kingston upon Thames, Epsom, Sutton, Croydon, Bromley, Crawley, Guildford, Farnham, Aldershot, Basingstoke, Horsham, Dartford, Gravesend, Harrow, Wembley, Watford, St Albans, Didcot, Chatham, Maidstone, Enfield, Romford, Ilford, Billericay, Basildon.

Experience / Qualifications:
– Will have strong hands-on experience working as a Water Treatment Engineer
– Ideally will have worked for a Water Treatment / Legionella specialist company
– Good undertstanding of ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines
– It would be beneficial to hold plumbing / remedial experience
– Experience working on both domestic hot & cold and process systems is essential
– Good written ability
– Comfortable using IT software

The Role:
– Undertaking a wide variety of duties to maintain safety compliance standards across client sites
– Closed system sampling and analysis
– Chemical dosing on systems
– Servicing of water softeners
– Acid descales
– Chlorinations
– Showerhead descales
– Cleans and disinfections on cooling towers and CWST
– TMV servicing
– Updating site logbooks as well as producing detailed service reports
