Job Description
Our client is a highly successful water treatment company with a strong national presence who deliver a range of high-quality water management services to a mixed portfolio of clients. The company is actively seeking to employ a competent and multi-skilled Water Treatment Engineer/Plumber to join their busy team in the Bristol area. The ideal candidate will come from a strong water treatment background and will be experienced in undertaking a range of duties such as temperature monitoring, water sampling and undertaking cleaning and chlorination on hot and cold systems. The successful candidate will also be a qualified plumber. Consideration will be given to applications from Bath, Weston-super-Mare, Chippenham, Thornbury and the surrounding areas.
Qualifications & Experience
The applicant must come from a good educational and chemical and technical and plumbing background and must be fully conversant with the current guidelines – ACOP.
Must have good communication, client-facing, IT and organizational skills.
Must have extensive and varied experience working within this role and within the water treatment field.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
Disinfection of mains water systems, tank cleans and descales, changing and replacing tanks, remedial work, flushing systems, water softeners, etc.
Monitoring client’s air and water systems and ensuring that they comply with the current Health and Safety legislation.
Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems and cooling towers.
Carrying out temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analyzing water systems.
Interpreting the results and maintaining and installing dosing systems, etc.
Providing accurate reports and maintaining paper work.
Building and maintaining a good rapport with the clients.
Carrying out plumbing work – Servicing and maintaining – TMVs.
Pipe fittings and repairs, drainage, etc.
Overall the successful candidate will be dedicated and committed to their work with the ability to work independently and under pressure and must be prepared to travel to sites designated by the client.
