Job Title: Water Treatment Service Chemist / Account Manager
Location: Wigan, Greater Manchester
Salary/Benefits: £30k – £50k + Training & Benefits

We are recruiting for a well-established Water Treatment outfit, who have a busy client base in the North West of England. The role will involve routine testing and analysis on process systems, so candidates must be confident using a test kit on site. It would be beneficial to hold strong sales experience in order to grow business revenues through upselling and the on-boarding of new clients. Experience / Qualifications:
– Must have strong experience working as a Water Treatment Service Chemist within a well-established outfit
– Fully conversant in ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines
– It would be beneficial to hold a science-based degree, such as environmental or chemistry
– Can demonstrate an excellent level of technical knowledge and hands-on experience
– Strong client-facing skills
– Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
– Professional manner
– Flexible to travel as required

The Role:
– Undertaking the testing and analysis on Cooling Towers, Steam Boilers and Closed Systems
– Completing flushes on LPHW systems
– Writing detailed service reports
– Managing a portfolio of Water Treatment client accounts, to maintain and / or grow incoming business
– Growing company business by upselling services to existing clients
– Being the key point of contact for clients, troubleshooting issues and providing support
– Creating quotations for clients and discussing in detail, ensuring to answer any queries
– Meeting with clients on site to discuss findings and provide technical advice
– Working across a range of client sites, including: industrial, manufacturing, commercial and food & beverage
– Representing the company in a professional manner
